The Two Ranges Drive takes in the entirety of Baw Baw Shire from majesty of the Baw Baw Plateau to the rolling hills of the Strzelecki Ranges. Do the loop as one whole or take your time and get off the beaten track. Stop in at one of the quaint villages or visit one of our retail hubs. Sample some of the best food and wine in Victoria at one of the cellar doors or farm gates. Enjoy nature at its best from lush forests to flowing waterfalls. Pat an alpaca, visit a gallery, go horse riding, catch a fish, you can experience everything Baw Baw has to offer along this scenic drive and at the end of the day you can curl up in front of a roaring fire or relax under the stars in one of our many accommodation options.

The beauty of the Two Ranges Drive is that you can begin it at any point along the way as it is a loop, but don’t forget to stray off the official loop as there is so much more to see and do through the middle as well.

Baw Baw Shire is a region of diversity and beauty but most importantly, it is a place where there are delights for all of the senses whether you like to shop,indulge in local food and wines, spend time exploring beautiful outdoor attractions and much more.

Be inspired by Baw Baw at one of the many galleries and studios along the route where you will see fiery glass blowing, paintings, photography, pottery and ceramics and even unique furniture design. You will find plenty of artists’ studios along the way and also a bit off the beaten track. Stop in at Yarragon, Neerim South, Jindivick or Lillico to set your inspiration soring.

Perhaps your inspiration comes from browsing the racks of a stylish boutique, or stepping out in a new pair of shoes. There are plenty of shops in Warragul and Drouin where you will find homewares, clothing and accessories as well as some fantastic boutiques in Yarragon or Darnum to rival those of Melbourne.

Send your tastebuds soaring with fresh local produce found all over the Baw Baw region. You will find olives, cheeses, fruits and vegetables, meats and much more. You can sample local produce all along the Two Ranges Drive from a café with a view in Jindivick or a tranquil hide away under the tress in Noojee. You can stock up for a picnic in Yarragon and head out to Blue Rock Damn via Willow Grove to enjoy a day in the sun or a spot of fishing.

And of course you will need something to wash all of that delicious food down with and Baw Baw won’t disappoint. Discover why so many of the winery’s in the Baw Baw region have won awards as you meander through the countryside comparing local wines and discovering new favourites. Whether you prefer reds, whites or rose, the spectacular views and the incredible wines will give you plenty to fall in love with. Wineries are easily accessible from Warragul, Drouin and Labertouche.

Wind down with a locally roasted coffee and homemade cake or indulge in a luxurious dining experience. You can sample some of the best and locally grown coffee all around the Two Ranges Drive and there are a number of award winning restaurants along the way as well.

Stay in one of our family friendly caravan parks or enjoy a romantic weekend away in a secluded bed and breakfast. From state of the art motels in our larger towns to quirky retreats and luxury B&B’s, you don’t have to do the Two Ranges Drive in one go. You can stay overnight along the way and start again tomorrow.

From the excitement of the Baw Baw Plateau to the majestic waterfalls at Noojee, state parks and reserves to the historic gold mining town of Walhalla and down to the Strzelecki Ranges, Baw Baw really does have something for people of all ages.
