Thorpdale is a small country town that is surrounded in rich red volcanic soil that produces some of the best potatoes in Australia.

The local attractions include the Trafalgar South lookout, the Narracan Falls and Henderson's Gully.

Thorpdale is the gateway for the Strzelecki Ranges and offers some spectacular mountain and rural scenery.

The Locals are very proud of their potatoes and hold a Potato Festival which is held over the Labour Day weekend in March.
