There’s much to explore in and around Coopers Creek. Take in the beautiful surrounds on foot and enjoy all that the nearby broad mountain river has to offer such as fishing, boating, swimming, canoeing, and kayak. For those who prefer land-based activities head off-road on one of the four-wheel drive tracks.
Or If escaping to the bush is for you there are two popular camping grounds located in Coopers Creek. The first near the site of the mining town and the second to the east at Bruntons Bridge. Pitch a tent or park a caravan and spend your nights surrounded by the region’s best asset – the great outdoors!
Most campsites are well shaded and some slope a little. Caravan accessibility is dependent on the weather so check out the conditions prior to arrival and remember to be fully prepared when embarking on your camping trip, taking plenty of food and water and adequate camping equipment.
