Rokeby

Rokeby is closer to Melbourne than you think. Just 103 km by car. This vibrant little town is an ideal place to visit whilst touring the region particularly for those who have an appreciation for the natural environment and like bushwalking.

Attractions – Rokeby and Surrounds

The Rokeby Crossover Rail Trail is part of the original Warragul to Noojee rail line and passes through the Crossover Regional Park to Neerim South. Highlights along the trail include the trestle bridge at Crossover and views of Tarago Reservoir, Bunyip State Forest and Mount Baw Baw.

Nangara Reserve is also worth a visit. This 14-hectare nature park, formerly a quarry is located in Jindivick, a short 10-minute drive from Rokeby. The reserve offers various short walking tracks (some steep sections) that feature art installations, interpretive signage and access to the Bunyip State Park. Indigenous culture is an important feature of the reserve and the local area.
